Chinese Nutritional Counseling

Food as Medicine -  In Chinese Medicine, we view food as an integral part of wellness.  Unlike the Western nutritional model, the Chinese nutritional model adheres to the principles of the Five Element Theory.

Five Element Theory has been used for over 2,000 years in China as a method to diagnose and treat illnesses.   Often times, weight gain, digestive difficulties such as acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and other symptoms of gastrointestinal disease can be attributed by eating the wrong type of food for your body.  Just because raw kale salad was raved by a celebrity as a weight loss secret, doesn't mean it will work for you.  Some people actually experiences bloating, stomach ache and loose stool as a result of eating kale salad.  Chinese Nutritional Counseling can help guide you to consume foods that are tailored for your blood type and digestive capabilities in an effort to promote efficient nutrient absorption.

You will receive:

  • A thorough evaluation of your digestive system according to the Five Element Theory

  • Monthly monitoring of your body's response to nutritional counseling

  • Seasonal list of diet recommendations to strengthen internal organ function, updated every 3 month
